"Hugo Macedo was a member of the first sonora in Peru, directed by his brother: the Sonora de Lucho Macedo. His brothers were the singers of the band while he performed as a timbalero. After nine years he founded the Sonora Casino of Hugo Macedo in 1964, later incorporating his wife, Lucía 'Pochita' Rivera as a vocalist. Trompeteros was released on the Peruvian record label MAG in 1972. Previously, the Sonora Casino had already recorded several albums for Philips since the mid-60s. At the time their repertoire was fed by rhythms such as cha cha cha, bolero, guaracha... Their MAG period would start in 1970 with the albumPochita y la Sonora Casino de Hugo Macedo in which Hugo Macedo's wife was granted with an important visual presence on the front cover, with a similar follow-up on Trompeteros, creating some confusion since vocalist Pachito Nalmy was the actual main singer on the record. The vocalist, who hails from Callao, demonstrates here a great vocal versatility as captured on songs like 'Guajira del amor', with a heavy rhythm that will surely delight boogaloo lovers, or the bolero number 'Pasa, pasa', being both songs own compositions of the multitalented Nalmy. Guarachas, descargas, and cumbias complete the offering of this fantastic album, one of the strongest tropical LPs in the MAG catalog. But the real banger here is the almost magical 'Astronauts to Mercury', a cosmic descarga full of electronic effects, filtered voices, and fierce guitars with wah-wah and raw distortion, closer to the sound of any psychedelic recording than the classic tropical sound of La Sonora Casino, and right next to those elements, an impressive brass section that boosts the intensity of the song to the highest levels. Great mascara

I’ve tried a ton of mascaras but this one definitely far exceeds my expectations compared to other mascaras. I wouldn’t go as far as to say your lashes will be unbelievably long and fake looking- but it definitely adds volume and depth to my lashes while maintaining a real lash look. I don’t have issues with clumping or lash breakage with this mascara. It washes off easily without leaving you with raccoon eyes. Also it does not cause eye sensitivity for me.

Best mascara I've tried!

This is hands down my favorite mascara! It gives amazing length and volume without feeling heavy or clumpy. My lashes look so much longer, and it lasts really well throughout the day. I keep coming back to this one because it works better than many more expensive mascaras I’ve tried!

Good Everyday Mascara

I’ve been using the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Washable Mascara for a couple of weeks now, and overall I’m really impressed.
The biggest standout is the length. It genuinely makes my lashes look noticeably longer without needing multiple coats. The flexible brush does a great job grabbing even the smaller lashes, and I didn’t have much issue with clumping as long as I applied it carefully. It also holds a curl better than I expected for a washable formula, which is a big plus.
Another thing I appreciate is how lightweight it feels. My lashes don’t get that heavy, stiff feeling some volumizing mascaras can cause. It’s also easy to remove at the end of the day, which makes it great for everyday use.
That said, it’s not perfect. While it does add some volume, if you’re looking for a very bold, thick lash look, you might find it a bit lacking. I also noticed a tiny bit of smudging under my eyes after a long day, though nothing too extreme.
Overall, this is a great mascara for length and a more defined, lifted look. I’d definitely repurchase, especially for daily wear, but I’d pair it with something more volumizing for special occasions.
