A stunning example of an iridescent ammonite fossil of the species Caloceras johnstoni from North Somerset, UK.

The matrix measures 108 mm (4.25 inches) tall and contains one large partial ammonite and a smaller complete shell. The shells sit in the original limestone matrix in which they were found that has been shaped and has a cut-flat base to allow it to be displayed freely standing. The ammonites are very well preserved and have been prepared out of the rock to reveal the shells, which display some beautiful fiery iridescence that changes as the viewing angle changes, with reds, oranges, and copper colours dominating.

These fossils are highly sought after and very hard to find. They are preserved in the same way as the famous Canadian "Ammolite" ammonites that are turned into valuable gemstones. The fossil weighs 275 grams. These fossils make great unusual gifts and each one is totally unique.

Around 200 million years old (Hettangian, Early Jurassic), this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.

For tough chewers
This is great for my large puppy. It has taken a beating, and I trim off any hanging or loose pieces of rubber. It has survived the test of time.

We call it the brick.
Great chew toy. Not really made for playing fetch. It’s large and very heavy. Good construction.

My 75 pound pittie loves this toy! I put baby carrots as the treats and keep her occupied and happy!

Indestructible but hard to get treats out
We have a power chewer and have had the black Kong products for a long time. I opted to try this new design however, the shape makes it difficult for our dog to reach the treat. We have stopped using it since I had to keep digging the treat out for her. : ) The black Kong shaped like a pear works much better for her. Giving this 3 stars overall because she can't really use it well.
