The most common filter is made of cordierite. Cordierite filters provide excellent filtration efficiency, are relatively inexpensive (comparison with Sic wall flow filter). The major drawback is that cordierite has a relatively low melting point.

| Noble metals (such as platinum, palladium) or metal oxides (such as CeOβ, ZrOβ) are usually coated as catalysts to promote the oxidation reaction of particulate matter (PM). It can passively regenerate through catalytic reaction at a lower temperature (about 250 - 350Β°C), convert soot into COβ and reduce the frequency of active regeneration (high temperature combustion). Great little bang for buck and DIY savings from the Dealership Service DEPT
Easy to install and very simple to place into the correct compartments in the glove box and engine bay. Took maybe 15 minutes or less. Quality is great and the air in the cabin is so fresh now! The quality of the air filters is OEM+ which is great when trying to save some money and add value to the product. Fits perfectly in my 2020 Honda civic Sedan. Includes everything needed to replace both filters. Includes both cabin and engine air filter
