Continuous Current Mode, Discontinuous Current Mode, autoswitching, voltage mode and current modes are created and used. For convenience, orientation specific models for several different converter topologies are prepared.
The book is not a design manual and does not go greatly into SMPS theory. This book is aimed more towards otherwise beginning and more experienced SPICE users wishing to further explore and simulate SMPS designs using SPICE3 and B2SPICEª v5.2.3+ in particular. All of the models prepared have schematics and listings to aid their use with any SPICE3 variant.
