The evolution of jazz has followed many paths, becoming so diverse that the definition of the word has become blurred. In this CD, Solid State combines elements of all genres. Swing, Latin, Funk, and Bebop merge as one as we explore the various palettes of jazz. Solid State's innovative compositions are rooted in the foundations of classic jazz combined with a contemporary rhythmical approach, tending toward more linear melodies and greater tonal variation in the chord structures rather than using repetitive rhythm patterns. The band's 4 horns lend themselves to the creation of unusual blends of melodies and interesting textures, and backed by piano, guitar, bass and drums, the musical journey evolves from funk to ballad to swing along the way. Elements of classical and blues appear along with hard bop and latin, presenting some familiar yet unpredictable twists. In our compositions we tend to lean towards the unexpected as a means of expressing and exploring music. Our goal is to provide a comfortable yet innovative listening experience, one that stays close enough to home so as not to be dissonant or cacophonous, but adventurous and challenging to those willing to go on the ride.

💦 a tall drink of water for your (clean) skin
If like me, you missed the cleansing oil that Beauty Counter made, this might be even better! The quality and consistency of this product leaves my skin feeling dewy, clean and you can tell it takes away the dead skin. I’m obsessed with how well it removes makeup — even sticky lash glue residue without feeling harsh. It leaves my skin with a plump appearance, full of moisture and smells like a fresh load of laundry. This is the only cleansing oil I’ve found that works as well as Beauty Counter - at a fraction of the price!

Very good cleaning oil
This cleansing oil is ideal for sensitive skin, I suffer from rosacea and I had no problem using it, neither dryness nor redness, the skin is hydrated, soft and very clean even when you remove the makeup, remove all the rest of it. I recommend it.

This product needs better instructions for people that don't know what a deep oil cleanser is!!
I am new to oil cleansers/double cleansing. I purchased this with the toner pads and serum thinking i was doing something. I ended up with staph on my chin and jaw, bc NOWHERE on here nor the bottle does it say this is only meant to be used ONCE A DAY, and washed off with a gentle cleanser afterwards. ALL instructions say rinse with water and then use the other items in the line. I damaged my skin barrier and wanted to hide away for over a month. HOWEVER, now that I have gone to the lengths of figuring out what happened and educating myself and using this product the correct way for a few days, I am seeing slight improvement already.
Just make sure you know how to use a deep oil cleanser when buying this bc i didnt!!

Nice starter skin care set that refined pores for a smoother and brighter complexion
This cleansing oil was purchased and arrived as a 3pc set that I have purchased. Along with this cleansing oil, it also came with the toner and closer pore reducing serum. I have been incorporating all three products into my daily skin care routine/regimen. So cleanse, tone, then moisturized. This cleanser is very gentle, and it leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed after cleansing, to prepped it before I apply the toner and follow up with the Closer pore reducing serum as the last step. Overall, I really like this set. The Close serum has a thicker consistency than my other serum, but it applies well and also seem to absorbed fairly quickly, so it doesn't leave my skin/face feeling sticky.
