Inside this CD are recordings from two different periods of my musical life. Tracks 1 to 5 were recorded in 2018, while the following four were recorded in 2012. The first set features very famous pieces, "classic" jazz standards, while the other pieces are my compositions and two extemporaneous improvisations, not based on a pre-existing theme. Therefore, two important aspects of a jazz musician's musical vision: the improvisational aspect and the compositional aspect, which often intertwine and coexist, not always "peacefully". I mean that these two things, within me, have always had a bit of a struggle, but in the end, one cannot exist without the other.

A special thanks to my family who has endured and supported me for years; a big thank you to Luca Remelli, without whom this CD would not have been released; thanks to Marco Lincetto for his work and his role as a cultural disseminator, always attentive to the quality of his productions. Thanks to Giancarlo Roberti, and to all those who have helped me grow musically up to today.
