The Exo Terra Stone Desert replicates the natural soil found in dry landscapes, such as deserts or savannahs. Unlike typical desert soils which are solely sandy, they often comprise a mix of sand, decomposed granite, and clay, leading to captivating and sometimes colorful rock formations. With Exo Terra’s Stone Desert, you can design your personal desert or savannah landscape, featuring cool, humid burrows alongside warmer raised basking spots. The cool, humid burrows enable your reptiles to absorb essential moisture through their skin while resting or hiding, while the elevated basking areas provide the necessary temperature gradients for effective thermoregulation.

Slightly dampen the Stone Desert substrate to mold natural-looking hills, burrows, and basking platforms for your pets.
