Luxor Secondograph Seconde Mort – A Rare ‘Jumping Seconds’ Marvel with Chézard 7402

A remarkable confluence of technical rarity and vintage elegance, the Luxor Secondograph houses the elusive Chézard 7402 calibre—one of the few mechanical movements ever made to tick like a quartz. Known as seconde mort or jumping seconds, this rare function elevates the piece into the upper echelons of collectible horology, rivaling complications from the likes of Jaeger-LeCoultre, Omega, or even Rolex—but at a fraction of the price.

A Dial that Captures Time in Motion

Framing the dial is a special rotating seconds ring—an uncommon and delightful feature that enhances the visual impact of the jump-second complication. The crosshair dial, with its balanced symmetry and minimalist charm, is further punctuated by a date window at 3 o’clock, highlighted in red for a pop of vintage flair. All this sits beneath an original domed plexiglass crystal, complete with a charming cyclops magnifier over the date.

The hand-set remains era-appropriate, and the motion of the seconds hand—jumping cleanly once per second—is a mechanical spectacle in itself, designed to mimic the feel of a quartz but executed entirely through gears and levers.

Rosé Gold Elegance – Twisted Lugs and Bold Detail

Housed in a rosé gold plated 34mm case, the watch features beautifully twisted lugs, adding a sculptural element to its vintage form. The steel crown remains unsigned, in keeping with the period’s design ethos. Though modest in size by modern standards, the presence of this watch on the wrist is anything but small—thanks to the bold lugs and the animated ticking of the second hand.

The caseback, hands, and dial remain unpolished and authentic, lending a rich sense of patina and heritage to the watch’s overall look.

The Beating Heart – Chézard 7402

At its core lies the Chézard 7402 calibre—a rare mechanical movement with jumping seconds (seconde sautante) and date complication. This ingenious calibre was among the few made to deliver precise, deadbeat seconds without a battery, using a clever cam and lever system. Functionally mesmerizing and mechanically ambitious, it's one of the few “death beat” movements that remain accessible to collectors today.

Recently inspected and operating flawlessly, this calibre is a reminder of a brief but fascinating era in Swiss watchmaking.

Great little umbrella light, I love it!
Color: Warm White, Color: Warm White
This umbrella light is small , compact and very lightweight, you can effortlessly move it around if your changing umbrellas. I Also love how bright this little thing is, with the click of a button the place is brightly lit. Love, that you don't have to have all the lights on if you don't want to that's a stand out feature. Great little light that adds a touch of elegance. Very user-friendly, in seconds to minutes its up and running.

Great Light but NOT USB CHARGEABLE
I bought this lamp for my bell tent, which has a center pole. It did exactly what I wanted it to do: provide light to my whole tent instead of depending on a lantern or flashlight. It snapped on easily and fit the pole perfectly. I wish it had a remote but I could have spent more and bought one with that functionality. The reason I took a star off is because it is advertised as being USB and even requires RECHARGABLE batteries. Since I'm not savvy on these things I paid extra for the batteries thinking the USB charges them in the device. NOPE. The USB is just for powering the light from an ac source (which is pointless for what I use it for).

Kinda of a cool gadget
Color: Cool White
I really didn't know I needed this until I got it! Easy and quick to recharge batteries (they do not come with rechargeable batteries). Put out enough light for an evening outside around the table

Love the Warm Glow!
Color: Warm White
This light is very easy to install and has 3 different lighting options. I love the warm white light it emits as opposed to a bright white light that could attract bugs at night. Perfect light for patio, deck, camping, golf cart, etc!

It feels cheap and works just okay
This product just feels like it was made on the bottom dollar. It is very cheaply made and the doors to the battery compartment are so fragile it feels like they may snap next time I have to change the batteries. There's absolutely no weather proofing so I wouldn't leave it outside in the rain or heat. That being said, it's fine. It stays put on our umbrella and puts out light, albeit not much light.
