What Is Red Light Therapy ?

Red Light Therapy delivers light energy in a similar way plants absorb light energy from the sun. Each Juvawave LightBed device uses different wavelengths, or colors of light.

Red Light Therapy, also referred to as Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) or Photobiomodulation (PBM). It utilizes red and/ or infrared light to improve unwanted conditions within the body.

When red light therapy is provided within close range to the body, it can actually treat the source of pain. Whereas drugs can mask and cover up pain by interfering with the body’s chemical signals.

The RedBed uses LED light therapy for a non-invasive, soothing and gentle treatment that sets in motion the body’s inherent pain-relieving process.

LED light therapy is also known as red light therapy, low level light therapy (LLLT) or photobiomodulation.

Juvawave only uses  5050SMD LED’s in all of our LED Products.

Simply put, these LED chips are called SMD 5050 because the dimensions of the chips are 5.0mm x 5.0mm. 

They have 3 LED diodes in one housing (sometimes called tri-chips), and are 3X brighter and cover 3X more area than single chip 3528 LED Chips which only have 1 LED as the other companies use to reduce costs.

Brighter means more energy being delivered into the body where the intended effect takes place. 

5050SMD LED also have a lifespan of 100,000 hours per LED whereas 3528 LED’s have a lifespan of 50,000 hours or half that of 5050SMD LED’s.
