Each cover will be released as a digital single when the corresponding podcast episode is broadcast, starting with Laura Jane Grace's cover of "The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton" on September 28, 2017. I Only Listen to the Mountain Goats is a collaboration between Merge Records, Night Vale Presents, and the Mountain Goats. "As a songwriter, no other artist has influenced my own work as much, " writes Grace regarding her contribution to this project. "Darnielle's ability with words to paint a couple scenes from a story and let your mind imagine the rest of the details is unparalleled and something I've always strived to learn from." Season one of I Only Listen to the Mountain Goats premieres 9/28/17. Subscribe now. Episodes and the corresponding digital singles will be released every other week until April 5, 2018. This special double-vinyl release will contain two LPs, one pink and one blue. I Only Listen to the Mountain Goats is a remarkable conversation series featuring Welcome to Night Vale and Alice Isn't Dead creator Joseph Fink and New York Times best-selling author John Darnielle, who is also the founder, lead singer, and songwriter for the Mountain Goats-and Fink's own personal artistic hero. Season one of I Only Listen to the Mountain Goats focuses on the band's seminal All Hail West Texas album from 2002, and the conversations range from introspective to intense, and are always revelatory. Together, Fink and Darnielle take the listener on a deep dive into the world of creativity and the duality of being an artist and a fan, both by sharing their own creative processes and music-geek obsessions and through immersive chats with other notable musicians and writers including best-selling YA author and music nerd John Green (The Fault in Our Stars) and Merge Records co-founder Mac McCaughan (Superchunk), as well as many special music guests such as Andrew Bird, Craig Finn, Laura Jane Grace, and Amanda Palmer, who offer up their own opinions as well as new renditions of songs from All Hail West Texas. "When I was a child, reading the authors that I loved and listening to music that I loved, the thing I got from that is that feeling of being understood somehow-that weird connection, " Darnielle confesses to Fink. "Where it's not the person, it's not the stranger, it's this thing they've made that opens this space for self-reflection."

Keeps me organized, and cords hidden
I recently purchased the Oxford Cable Management Boxes, 3 Pack (Small, Medium, Large) with 15 Cable Ties, and I’m thrilled with how they’ve transformed my home office setup. This set is a fantastic solution for anyone looking to tame messy cords and create a clean, organized space.
The three different sizes (small: 4.5"W x 9.3"L x 4.7"H, medium: 5.3"W x 12.6"L x 5.1"H, large: 6.2"W x 15.9"L x 5.4"H) are perfect for handling a variety of devices, from small phone chargers to large power strips. I used the large box to neatly conceal my surge protector and its tangle of cords, while the medium and small boxes worked wonders for my desk’s USB hubs and laptop charger. The boxes are made of sturdy, heat- and impact-resistant ABS plastic, which feels durable and gives me confidence they’ll last.
What I love most is the thoughtful design. Each box has a pressure-fitted lid that’s easy to open and close, plus two cutouts for routing cables. The included cable ties—6 hook-and-loop, 6 silicone, and 3 twist ties—are a great bonus. The colorful hook-and-loop ties (blue, red, green, yellow, black, white) add a fun touch, while the silicone and twist ties are super practical for securing cords of different thicknesses. These ties made it easy to bundle everything neatly before tucking it into the boxes.
The white finish blends seamlessly with my decor, giving my workspace a sleek, professional look. The boxes also have small circle feet on the bottom, which prevent slipping and add a nice touch of stability. I’ve noticed a huge reduction in visual clutter, and it’s reassuring to know my cables are safely contained, reducing tripping hazards and keeping my curious cat away from the wires.
Installation was a breeze—less than 15 minutes to organize everything. The boxes are versatile enough for various settings, whether it’s a desk, entertainment center, or gaming setup. My only wish is that they included a few more cable ties, but the 15 provided were sufficient for my needs.
Overall, the Oxford Cable Management Boxes have exceeded my expectations. They’re practical, stylish, and effective at keeping cords under control. If you’re tired of cable chaos, this set is a must-have! Highly recommend.

Makes everything look so much clean
got these mostly to deal with all the random cords around the house, and they made a bigger difference than I expected.
They’re simple, but they actually do what they’re supposed to. Once everything is tucked inside, it instantly makes the area look way more organized and less cluttered. I’ve been using them for things like power strips and extra cords, and they hide everything really well.
They’re lightweight but still feel sturdy enough, and the lids stay on without being annoying to open.
Pros:
Really helps clean up the look of messy cords
Easy to use, no setup needed
Simple design that blends in
Cons:
Not huge, so larger power strips can be a tight fit
Plastic isn’t super thick
Overall I’d definitely recommend these if you’re trying to make a space look cleaner without doing anything complicated.

Great Space Saver!
I purchased these for our family room charging hub and honestly wish I had known about them sooner. They are sturdy and very kid proof (at least for my kids). I love the push and lift design so little hands can’t just lift it open and they hold a lot yet blend in.
