Six Questions Your Murphy Business & Financial Corporation Franchise Business Plan Must Answer

We built this franchise unit business plan in Microsoft Word using our own research into the business brokerage franchise model. All six chapters are pre-populated with data specific to opening and operating this type of financial services franchise, including startup costs like the $47,500 franchise fee and revenue projections that scale to $2,162,000 by year five. The entire document is fully editable to match your specific territory and financial situation.

Question 1: What is the core business case for this franchise unit?

The core business case is to establish a premier business brokerage franchise in the North Austin market, leveraging a national brand's credibility to serve mid-market business owners with sophisticated exit strategy consulting and valuation services. The model is built on high-value, trust-based relationships, not high-volume transactions, creating a defensible market position.

The Opportunity in Brief

  • Leverages a national brand for instant credibility and access to proprietary tools.
  • Targets the underserved mid-market business acquisition segment with a high-touch service model.
  • Combines success fees, fixed valuation fees, and consulting revenue for a diversified income stream.
[dynamic_pic9]

Question 2: What exactly does the franchise unit sell?

The franchise unit provides three primary professional services: business brokerage, certified business valuations, and strategic consulting. This business valuation franchise model allows the unit to generate revenue from success-based commissions on transactions, fixed fees for appraisal services, and recurring fees for ongoing advisory work with business owners.

Core Service Offerings

  • Brokerage Commissions: Success fees from facilitating business sales, projected to start at $250,000 in year one.
  • Valuation Fees: Fixed fees for professional appraisals, forecasted at $100,000 in the first year.
  • Consulting Services: Advisory fees for exit strategy planning and value enhancement, starting at $50,000 in year one.
[dynamic_pic10]

Question 3: Who are the target customers and what is the market size?

The primary customers are mid-market business owners, high-net-worth clients, and niche industry leaders in the economically vibrant North Austin corridor. The unit will also build a deep referral network with local CPA firms, estate planning attorneys, and financial advisors who serve this same client base, creating a powerful and sustainable lead generation ecosystem.

Local Customer Profile

  • Mid-Market Business Owners: Entrepreneurs seeking professional brokerage for complex business transitions.
  • High-Net-Worth Clients: Individuals requiring certified appraisals for financial and estate planning.
  • Professional Referral Partners: CPAs, attorneys, and wealth managers who provide a steady pipeline of qualified clients.
[dynamic_pic11]

Question 4: How will the unit acquire customers profitably?

Customer acquisition is driven by a direct referral network of trusted local professionals, which provides high-quality, low-cost leads. This is supplemented by hosting educational seminars to build authority and trust with potential clients long before they are ready to sell. A focused digital marketing strategy using LinkedIn and niche SEO will capture high-intent prospects seeking specialized valuation services.

Customer Acquisition Channels

  • Direct Referral Network: Building exclusive relationships with local CPAs and attorneys.
  • Educational Seminars: Hosting workshops on value enhancement to generate warm leads.
  • Hyper-Targeted Digital Marketing: Using LinkedIn and SEO to reach specific industry leaders and business owners.
[dynamic_pic12]

Question 5: Who will run the unit and what is the staffing plan?

The franchise unit will be led by a full-time Principal Broker with deep industry expertise, supported by a core team from day one. The initial staff includes a Valuation Specialist, a part-time Business Development Representative, and an Administrative Assistant. The credibility of the team is reinforced by professional appraisal certification and ongoing business broker training provided by the franchisor.

Day-One Staffing Plan

  • Principal Broker: Annual salary of $105,000, responsible for overall strategy and high-value client relationships.
  • Valuation Specialist: Annual salary of $85,000, focused on executing certified business appraisals.
  • Support Staff: A business development rep and an administrative assistant to manage workflow and client outreach.
[dynamic_pic13]

Question 6: What are the key financial projections and metrics?

The financial plan projects first-year revenue of $600,000, growing to over $2.1 million by year five. The unit is expected to reach its breakeven point in March 2026, just three months after launch. While the initial investment is significant, including a $47,500 franchise fee, the long-term internal rate of return (IRR) is projected at 14.06%, though payback is defintely a long-term play, occurring after year five.

Key Financial Milestones

  • Startup Investment: Key costs include the $47,500 franchise fee and $18,000 for office leasehold improvements.
  • Revenue Growth: Sales are projected to grow from $600,000 in year one to $2,162,000 by year five.
  • Profitability Metrics: The model forecasts a breakeven date of March 2026 and a five-year IRR of 14.06%.

Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid
Format: Paperback
Star Wars: The Screaming Citadel is a crossover collection of the main Star Wars comic series and the Doctor Aphra series. The Arc revolves around the Queen of The Screaming Citadel being the only one who can open a relic containing an ancient Jedi master. Aphra then teams up with Luke Skywalker and we have our crossover event. The story itself is good. A queen with parasitic bugs controlling a planet is uncharted territory for Star Wars and it works. There were great action moments, plots painting the Empire in a morally grey light than the traditional evil one. Doctor Aphra Marvel's golden girl character was funny in this and her chemistry with Luke worked. It didn't feel forced like Marvel was trying to use the Original Characters to build-up their new ones. Where this comic fails is the inconsistent art style as this is a collection you get different art with each issue. Its starts of good and then takes a nosedive in the Aphra issue in the volume. Bad art aside Screaming Citadel was an enjoyable crossover. Doctor Aphra is the best new character to come out of this new Marvel Disney run. Screaming Citadel is worth the read it was a nice crossover that delves more into the Fantasy elements of Star Wars and works as Star Wars has been Space Wizards since 1977.

What a ride.
Format: Paperback
How these two come together with the rest of the iconic characters is just so fun. Add in a Screaming Citadel and you're in for one hell of a ride. If you love Star Wars, pick it up. It could read as a stand-alone if needed. Part of the Doctor Aphra comics.

Absolutely top-knotch

9.5/10 This is the pinnacle of Star Wars comic books. A great way to tie in their Indiana Jones character in Aphra and the mainline series to tell an amazing story. Only complaint is a couple of the issues artwork I was not a fan of. I like the more realistic look. Just make sure you read Aphra book 1 and the previous SW books to understand it better. Aphra book 1 being more important

Star Wars embraces fantasy
Format: Paperback
This is Star Wars at its' strangest, and that's a very good thing. Luke and co. fighting through what could easily be Dracula's castle is a truly unique experience. I don't wish to say more for fear of spoilers. As a note though you will get more out of this if you've been following the Star Wars and Dr. Aphra comics. However you can get by without that knowledge as well.

Gothic Star Wars
Format: Paperback
This trade paperback collects all the issues for the Screaming Citadel story spread over several titles, including the main stay Star Wars series and the Dr Aphra book. As one might expect from a story spread over different titles with different artists and writers, the presentation varies. The art is all over the place. In the Marco Checchetto-drawn initial issue, everyone’s favorite amoral artifact hunter, Dr Aphra, is a striking space vixen. But in the following issues she’s hardly recognizable as the same character--mousier, if still menacing, in her trademark Russian tanker’s hat. To a lesser degree, the same is true for the other characters, including the main SW group. It’s understandable, but a bit disconcerting. The story centers on Dr Aphra, who, in need of a Jedi for one of her typically nefarious purposes, recruits Luke into her scheme. Unfortunately for Aphra, she’s up against a more ruthless foe in the harlequin-looking vampire-like Queen of the Screaming Citadel. Before long, the rest of the group has to show up to rescue them. It’s a gothic story, set in scary castle—not the usual Star Wars fare. There are some good points. Dr Aphra’s almost sociopathic outlook is always good for a few choice lines, the “murderous machines” Bee Tee and Triple Zero are on hand for their own gruesome commentary and some of the Queens hench-people, while not given much to do, are interestingly designed. But overall, the horror movies plotline didn’t seem much like Star Wars to me. Recommended for those who enjoy that type of story, or completists.
