Formed from overlapping scales that protect the animal as it moves through the African landscape, the pangolin’s natural armour has inspired this bold and sculptural ring. Rarely seen in the wild, the pangolin represents both resilience and the urgent need for conservation.

Created by Patrick Mavros Jnr in collaboration with the Tikki Hywood Foundation, the Pangolin Armour Ring reflects the texture and rhythm of the pangolin’s scales in handcrafted 18ct gold. Each ring is created in our Studio in Zimbabwe, where the design is first sculpted by hand before being cast using the traditional lost wax casting method. The piece is then hand-finished and polished to preserve the character and detail of the original form.
