"An Ordinary Hero: A Story of War, Family, Courage, and Survival" offers readers a glimpse at heroes of "The Greatest Generation" during World War II. Bud Barish tells the story of his experiences leading up to, during and after his time serving in the infantry.

After spending nine months in the sought after ASTP (Army Specialized Training Program), the program was cancelled. Barish and all the students in school with him were sent back into training to serve in the 103rd Cactus Division. Lacking experience and skills, these "students" were expected to serve in roles such as policing of European cities. Instead, they were thrown into some of the most difficult, challenging and bloodiest battles of the war and proved to surpass all expectations. They were the first army in history to cross the impregnable Vosges Mountains and the first company to cross the German border. On December 31, 1944, Operation Northwind (often called the "Other" Battle of the Bulge) began. It was to be the last major German offensive of WWII and was orchestrated by Hitler himself who announced that the objective of the attack was to exterminate the enemy forces. The Battle at Sessenheim would become Barish's last battle. All of the American tanks in the battle were destroyed and 80% of the men in his company were lost. Barish tells how he and other injured men hid from SS troops in the basement of the then Nazi occupied town of Sessenheim and of the incredible hero who risked his life over and over to save them. For 51 years, Barish searched to find him to say "thank you".

Perfect fit for my 2018 sr5 Tacoma. Great quality!
Extremely well made. Doesn't rattle or slide off. Holds the phone tightly. Finally found a phone mount that works great for my Tacoma (2018 sr5). I highly recommend this product.

5 Stars with 1 Call-Out….
SOLID built like a tank! Really like the all-metal design. No vibration on the road and minimal if any off road, extremely stable. 360 adjustability = endless options on positioning your phone. Overall a good buy considering fit, form and functionality as compared to the less expensive composite holders that shake move and rattle (Drives me nuts). The ONLY negative…. I have a pro max iphone with a case and there’s no way one-handed operation works to insert and remove the phone into the holder. You can use one hand to adjust the angle and positioning but not otherwise. An OFI for OffRoam, incorporate a tension adjustment into the design for ease of insertion and removal of the phone (without breaking the bank). Taking all things into consideration the pros far outweigh the cons! Best unit out there for Gen 3 Tacoma owners.

Smash or Pass? ….Smash.
The smash phone mount did the trick. There was never a good or convenient place to put my phone in the 4-runner. This piece of kit fixed the issue nicely. Fits in the little storage spot tightly with a spring loaded friction mount. The hardware to manipulate the holder so you can customize your preference is made of metal so it will be durable and stable and bc you can change it around to fit your needs it has a lot of functionality. A little pricey but a good add-on for the rig.

Get the stubby, not the standard
This is a very nice mount. I strongly recommend the stubby version over the standard, mostly because you can move the phone holder around to help keep it visible and out of the way. As a taller guy, the standard mount would be hitting my knee when I get in the vehicle, but the stubby mount allows me to move it further towards the passenger side, which also keeps my cup holder usable.
