We continue our series focusing on the great arrangers and conductors of the pre- and post-war eras with an anthology devoted to the work of Gordon Jenkins, a fine pianist and composer as well as a noted arranger, who is especially associated with lush string arrangements which accompanied some of the great singers of the time. This great value 87-track 4-CD set comprises examples of his work from a period of over a quarter of a century spanning WWII, featuring recordings made with a host of top flight male and female vocalists during his long tenures as house arranger for Capitol and Decca, as well as his performances of the several orchestral suites which he composed and recorded under his own name over the years. Included are recordings by artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Dick Haymes, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole, Judy Garland, The Weavers, Marlene Dietrich, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Ethel Merman, Danny Kaye, Burl Ives and many more, so it provides a fascinating trawl across the spectrum of popular music as well as an insight into the techniques and talents of one of the industry's hugely talented backroom boys. Compiled and with extensive booklet notes by former national newspaper showbiz writer and photographer Geoff Wilding, creator of previous anthologies in this series.

Durable and safe - made in USA. Dog enjoys it, and pet parents are delighted that it is safe for their fur baby. I bought the toy as a gift.

Pretty Good
Color: Red Nylon Yellow Hotdog
The toy is good for a heavy chewer, but is very slippery. You may want to rough it up a bit before giving it to your dog so they can hold onto it.

WARNING - EXTREMELY SHARP AREAS
Color: Yellow Nylon Corn on the Cob, Color: Yellow Nylon Corn on the Cob
UPDATE: The 2nd one I ordered was exactly the same with the sharp parts in the same areas as the first one. I cannot stress enough that a few points are sharp enough to cut or badly scratch. So if you’re planning on putting some food on it so your pup can lick, this is not the product you want! This could still scratch or cut the gums if used as a chew toy too though. I was thinking about sanding the sharp points but then I have no idea if that exposes any chemicals somehow? Really wanted this to work out!
I took this corn on the cob toy out of the plastic to wash it and before I even got to the sink I realized there were several areas that are super sharp. A few sharp enough that could cut or badly scratch! It was sealed in a plastic bag and shows no signs of being used so this defect must happen at the manufactures level. I added a video showing how easily it snags a cotton ball, cotton pad and even a beanie. Please thoroughly check your item before giving it to your pup! I was so excited to put some smashed banana on this thing and give it to my guy and thank god I checked it first! I’m going to return it and see if a 2nd one is any better and I’ll update if it is or isn’t. Also, the super sharp spots were very hard to photograph which is why I added the video.
