You must remove your protective style properly in order to maintain for it to remain "protective". I created my "Takedown Prep Kit" to help protect your hair from damage and preserve your new growth inn the process. The kit includes:
MixxTresses Prep Oil (1 oz)
MixxTresses Tangle Release (4 oz)
MixxTresses Hydration Spray (1 oz)
MixxTresses Scalp Scrub (2 oz)
Products are listed in the order that they should be used.
Prep Oil
For sew-ins, Apply the oil to the line of new growth AFTER you have removed the wefts from your braids.
For crochet braid styles, apply the oil prior to cutting out the hair and then again afterwards.
For other braided styles, apply directly to line of demarcation before unraveling braids.
After Prep Oil has been applied, carefully unravel your braids and put hair into several sections.
Tangle Release
Apply the Tangle Release to your line of new growth and the ends of your hair. Gently massage it in to help break down and soften any debris or build up in your hair. You don't need a lot for it to be effective.
Hydration Spray
Apply the Hydration Spray to the ends and mid-shaft of your hair. Then, begin to detangle your hair starting from the ends, working your way up toward your roots. Follow up with Scalp Scrub to address any buildup or dandruff on your scalp.
Scalp Scrub
After thoroughly detangling your hair, shake the bottle of Scalp Scrub to blend the ingredients together and then apply directly to your scalp in any areas of concern. Gently massage into your scalp and do not let sit for more than 5 minutes. Shampoo and condition your hair and scalp accordingly.
