5 Dozen of the World's Best. The Ultimate Ice-Breaker.

Forget chips and dip. Whether you are waiting for the charcoal to burn or pouring the first round of Champagne, nothing sets the tone like a tray of ice-cold, live oysters.

This is the Avant Standard in a volume format. We don't do "bulk bin" oysters. These are the exact same premium, hotel-grade oysters we supply to Singapore's top oyster bars, packed in a 60-piece case for your gathering.

Why Start with Oysters? It’s the perfect temperature contrast. Crisp, cold, and briny starters cleanse the palate before you move on to heavier cooked meats or mains. It wakes up the taste buds.

Select Your Curated Package (60 Pcs/Set)

We offer three distinct profiles to suit your guest list.

1. Fanny Bay Sunseeker XS (Canada)

  • Profile: Briny, crisp, slightly sweet, with clean mineral sea finish

  • Best For: Guests new to raw shellfish. Its smaller size and lighter brine make it the perfect "gateway oyster."

  • Price: $210 ($3.50/pc)

2. NZ Marlborough (New Zealand)

  • Profile: Clean ocean, meaty, sweet cucumber, juicy

  • Best For: Texture lovers. Grown using the FlipFarm™ method, these have a deeper cup and stay juicier than standard varieties.

  • Price: $240 ($4.00/pc)

3. Effingham (Canada)

  • Profile: Smooth, creamy, and beautifully balanced with a gentle sweetness, clean salinity, and a lingering cucumber-like finish. Harvested from the pristine waters of Vancouver Island, these oysters offer a refreshing taste of the Pacific with exceptional freshness and purity.

  • Best For: Those who appreciate a refined West Coast oyster. Grown in the nutrient-rich waters of British Columbia, Effingham Oysters are prized for their plump texture, clean flavor, and approachable balance of sweetness and brine.

  • Price: $240 ($4.00/pc)

Service Options: To Shuck or Not to Shuck?

  • DIY (Unshucked): Delivered live in the shell. Best if you want the theatre of shucking them fresh for your guests.

  • Chef Shucked (+$30.00): Let us handle the hard work. Our team will professionally shuck your oysters just before delivery. We shuck "clean"—preserving the natural liquor and ensuring no shell grit. They arrive ready to slurp.

Chef’s Advice: Safety & Enjoyment

A note from our team to ensure the best experience for your guests.

  • The "Cold First" Rule: Serve these strictly as a pre-game appetizer. Enjoy the cold, raw shellfish before you start on hot, greasy BBQ meats. Mixing cold raw proteins with hot animal fats can cause stomach discomfort.

  • The 2-Hour Window: If you order them shucked, they must be consumed within 2 hours of delivery and kept strictly on ice. Do not leave them sitting out in the heat.

  • Know Your Guests: While our oysters are of the highest hotel-grade hygiene, raw seafood is not for everyone. We recommend that elderly guests, pregnant women, or those with sensitive stomachs opt for cooked items.

(Disclaimer: Please consume raw seafood at your own risk. Avant Marketplace ensures all products are delivered live and to standard, but we cannot accept responsibility for individual biological reactions.)

Wonderful exegetical commentary
Format: Hardcover
This replaces Grant Osborne's 2002 commetary on Revelation in the Baker series. The introduction is concise. The scholarship is inspring. The treatment of the seven letters to the seven churches is the best I've seen. Schreiner defends a premillenial view called "new creation" millenialism, which sees the thousand year reign of Christ and the saints as both an eschatological "sabbath" and also as the initial age of the New Heaven and Earth (eternity). In my opinion he does surpass Osborne on this subject, though Osborne's commentary remains outstanding in every way. Whatever your leanings on the millennium might be, Schreiner's excursus into that subject before treating Rev. 20 is as good as an excursus gets and worth the price of the book by itself. I found his resolutions of the major issues both compelling and uplifting. Buy it.

Technical in detail, but highly readable.
Format: Hardcover
This is an excellent commentary on Revelation alone or alongside other commentaries. Schreiner interacts with other scholars in the field, summarizing the interpretive options, and constantly reaches a theologically solid conclusion. You won't be disappointed!

Not great, not bad
Format: Hardcover
There are a few sections that are stand-outs. He's a pleasant writer, but over all not much new ground plowed.
