The Rat SLC31A1 (High affinity copper uptake protein 1) ELISA Kit measures SLC31A1 in Rat Serum, Plasma, Cell Culture Supernatant, Cell or Tissue Lysate. This kit is based on Double antibody-Sandwich ELISA detection method and takes 4h assay time. The microplate provided in this kit has been precoated with anti SLC31A1 antibody. Add standard and properly diluted sample into relevant well respectively. After incubation, wash unbound components. Add biotinylated detection antibody. Then, it binds with SLC31A1 bound to precoated antibody. Wash unbound components and add HRP-Streptavidin Conjugate (SABC). Wash unbound components again and add TMB substrate solution. Then, TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that turned yellow after adding a stop solution. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader. Calculate the concentration of SLC31A1 in the sample by plotting standard curve. The concentration of the target substance is proportional to the OD450 value.

Great sturdy shelf, install can be a bit challenging

The shelf is great and does exactly what I wanted it to do. I will note that the instructions indicate you’re supposed to use a 6 mm drillbit to install the anchors which comes out to about a 15/64 size. I would recommend a quarter inch drillbit because I was really struggling to get those anchors in there. Several folks also said that it’s easiest to install with two people, but you don’t need two people if you have some way to prop the piece up while you’re marking the hole placements to drill (and I would definitely recommend having a level on it the entire time you’re working to make sure that it’s correct). Lastly, it is easiest to put it together first, and then mark the drill holes, put the piece aside and drill and install the anchors, and then screw it in. I will also caution folks to not overtighten the pipe connections, because the pipes will end up in a wonky direction in the end. Overall I am extremely happy with this piece and certainly for the price!!
