When Major League Baseball first expanded in 1961 with the addition of the Los Angeles Angels and the Washington Senators, it started a trend that saw the number of franchises almost double, from sixteen to thirty, while baseball attendance grew by 44 percent. The story behind this staggering growth, told for the first time in Baseball's New Frontier, is full of twists and unexpected turns, intrigue, and, in some instances, treachery. From the desertion of New York by the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Giants to the ever-present threat of antitrust legislation, from the backroom deals and the political posturing to the impact of the upstart Continental League, the book takes readers behind the scenes and into baseball's decision-making process.

Fran Zimniuch gives a lively team-by-team chronicle of how the franchises were awarded, how existing teams protected their players, and what the new teams' winning (or losing) strategies were. With its account of great players, notable characters, and the changing fortunes of teams over the years, the book supplies a vital chapter in the history of Major League Baseball.

Not True “Running” Shoes
Size: 3 Big Kid, Color: Plum/White
Okay every day shoes but not great for running. I’m a small adult, who happens to fit in kid sized shoes. While it has its perks of being cheaper, finding a good supportive shoe in youth size has its challenges. Youth shoes are not always built to last due to the fact kids grow out of them quickly. I had high hopes for these, and bought them on sale. Initially trying them on, they felt great. But after a few runs and miles on them they just weren’t cut out for running. I only ever do a mile here and there. After a month and maybe only 10 miles in them I was experiencing shin splints. So they’re only good for every day errands and I upgraded my running shoes to something else. They do fit true to size though! Was to clean. And very pretty purple.

PURPLE SAUCONY's BOYS KID SIZE 6
Size: 6 Big Kid, Color: Plum/White, Size: 6 Big Kid, Color: Plum/White
Nice, light and comfy though a bit hard no cushion but good if your kid runs through sneakers roughly....I hope! good that I had a discount applied otherwise these would go back due to if it would survive everyday wear and tear. Color is true to compare and size is true Boys kids 6. Consider how your child or grandchild will wear them! Update: sneaker is not water proof. Seems like a knock off because the bottom color of the souls are off and the two colors are off and distorted but as for comfort ok and it's not cushioned so be aware especially if your child needs support and comfort and dry feet!
