Running through orchards, farmland, swamps, and cities, this electric railway began its life in 1905. Service eventually ran from Chico to Oakland, but after the Bay Bridge opened in 1939, the 186-mile route started in San Francisco s Financial District, crossed the bridge on the lower deck, ran through Contra Costa County towns like Moraga, Lafayette, and Pittsburg, across the Suisun straits on the massive rail ferry Ramon (which could hold an entire train), and into Sacramento, the halfway point. From there, the train continued through rolling hills and farms on to Marysville, and finally to Chico before making its return journey. The Sacramento Northern soldiered on until World War II, but eventually the growing car culture, along with competing diesel railroads, undid this splendid line. Interurban passenger service ended in 1941, and the various lines were gradually abandoned or dieselized. Today a 22-mile segment of the route remains in operation at the Bay Area Electric Railway Museum in Solano County."Binding Type: Paperback

Easy Cabin Filter Swap For Cleaner Air

I picked up this Puroma cabin air filter to replace the old one in my Honda and it has worked out very well. It fit the housing just like the original, slid in without any forcing, and the whole swap took only a few minutes. The construction feels solid for the price and the edges seal properly so air is not just bypassing the filter.
After installing it, the air from the vents smelled noticeably fresher, especially when using recirculate. The activated carbon layer seems to help cut down on that stale or slightly musty smell that builds up over time. For something that is easy to forget about, changing this filter makes a real difference in everyday driving comfort.
If you have a compatible Honda or Acura and want an affordable replacement that you can install yourself instead of paying dealership prices, this Puroma cabin filter is a very practical option.

Highly Recommended – Saved Big and Easy Install at 83 Years Old!

I’ve been taking my cars to my favorite garage for over 25 years, so I trust them completely. When they quoted me $150 just to install and purchase the cabin and engine air filters on my 2016 Honda Accord, I decided to try doing it myself.
I bought this Cabin & Engine Air Filter set (fits Honda Accord 2.4L 2013-2017 and Acura TLX) for only about $27 delivered. What a difference in price!
Installation was surprisingly straightforward. Everything fit perfectly with no issues. The only extra step was doing a simple factory reset on the control panel, which was very easy and took just a couple of minutes. At 83 years old, I’m proud to say I handled the whole job myself in my driveway.
The filters seem high quality, especially with the activated carbon cabin filter. My car runs cleaner now and the air inside smells fresher. Excellent value and perfect fit.
If you’re even a little handy, don’t pay the high dealer/garage prices — get this kit and do it yourself. Highly recommended!
Would buy again without hesitation.

Perfect Fit & Performance for 2022 Explorer ✅

I recently installed this filter set on my 2022 Ford Explorer (2.3L), and I’m very impressed with the results. Both the engine and cabin filters were a perfect fit with no installation issues.
Performance & Quality:
Solid Build: These feel much sturdier and higher quality than the filters I removed. I bought my vehicle used, and it seems the previous owners used whatever generic parts they could find. These are a noticeable step up.
Fuel Efficiency: Since the swap, my MPG has remained rock steady at 26.1 MPG while running 89 octane fuel. It’s good to know the engine is breathing efficiently.
Cabin Comfort: The cabin air is noticeably fresh, and the airflow is excellent—no whistling or restricted feel through the vents.
Value:
Getting both filters in one set is a great deal compared to buying them individually at a local auto parts store or the dealership. I’ll definitely be looking at these again in the next 6 to 12 months for my next maintenance cycle.
Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a reliable, cost-effective alternative to dealership prices that doesn't compromise on performance, this is a great choice.
