🌱 How to Germinate Crocus Vernus Jeanne D’Arc Bulbs

Follow these easy steps to germinate your Crocus Vernus bulbs successfully in the Indian climate:

  1. Choose Quality Bulbs: Select firm, healthy bulbs free from mold or cuts.
  2. Chilling Period: Place bulbs in the refrigerator (not freezer) for about 6–8 weeks if your region doesn’t experience cold winters.
  3. Prepare the Soil: Use a well-draining mix of garden soil + sand + coco peat in equal parts.
  4. Planting Depth: Plant each bulb about 3 inches deep and 3 inches apart, pointed tip facing upwards.
  5. Water Lightly: Keep the soil moist but never soggy. Overwatering can rot the bulb.
  6. Location: Place the pot in a cool, partially shaded area until sprouts appear (usually 2–3 weeks).

🌼 How to Grow Crocus Vernus in Indian Conditions

Best Time to Plant:

In India, plant Crocus Vernus bulbs from October to December to enjoy blooms from late winter to early spring.

Soil Type:

  • Well-draining loamy or sandy soil
  • pH between 6.0–7.0

Not very durable
Color: Blue Puppy, Size: Medium Size 2
This ball is cute and my dog loves tags. However he popped this ball with one bite to carry it…. Within 10 minutes of getting it. It should have a tougher exterior

Your fur kid will thank you!
Color: Yellow Green, Size: 6 Inch
My dog absolutely LOVES this toy! I recently adopted a rescue & wasn’t sure what she might like, so I bought this in a 6” size for a 50# shep/lab/hound. The ball comes with a cute little pump with needle which only takes a few seconds to inflate. I put the ball outside for her; she wasn’t sure of it at first but it didn’t take her long to realize how fun it was to throw around & chase. She throws it up in the air by the loops & runs all over the yard with it & it’s so comical to watch! It seems pretty durable & well made - I’m shocked she hasn’t punctured it by now, but if she does I will definitely buy her another….and another. This is easily her favorite toy. I highly recommend it for your fur kid - you won’t be disappointed, & neither will they..

First ball was great!
Color: Black Green, Size: 8 Inch
This ball was great! My dog loves it. I ordered another smaller one. It had no pump and the inside was separated from the outside piece so it couldn’t be pumped up.

Fun and durable
Color: Flag, Size: 6 Inch, Color: Flag, Size: 6 Inch
I have a 5 month old teething Whippet puppy and this toy is a favorite. She loves carrying it around by the straps, playing tug, and trying to chew it. I think it’s pretty tough and durable for someone her size. I could see how a shepherd might destroy it quickly, though. I was surprised to find you have to inflate it, but the pump and needles are included and it hasn’t lost any air over several days of rough play. (I kick it and toss it to her. We tug with the straps. She carries it everywhere.) The material feels like a heavy duty soccer ball, just smaller. It’s the perfect size for her. I’d definitely buy it again.

It's a (smaller) soccer ball with nylon straps. Will no last long for aggressive chewers.
Color: Black Green, Size: 8 Inch
As the item title states, it's a soccer ball with straps. It feels like a soccer ball, but smaller and doesn't make any noises. The 8 inch size just right for my 50 lb dog. He can't get his mouth around the ball, but can bite down on the straps as we kick it around. He also plays and tosses it around by himself. It's also easy to clean. It's a good item, but suffers from two issues. 01) The nylon straps are tough, but not as durable as I though. My dog is aggressive chewer and has managed to chew them up a bit. 02) There is a nylon strap that is longer than all the others, so he tends to focus on that one. After about 15 days of playing with hit, he's managed to chew that strap up to the point that it's almost falling off. It would be nice if all the straps were the same, larger, size.
