Rolex Day-Date Ref. 18039 – A White Gold Presidential Icon from 1978

A refined symbol of Rolex prestige and presidential elegance, this Rolex Day-Date Ref. 18039 from 1978 is crafted entirely in solid 18K white gold—a configuration far rarer than its yellow gold siblings. With a clean original silver dial and sharp, unpolished case geometry, this vintage Day-Date offers a compelling blend of collectibility, luxurious understatement, and enduring mechanical pedigree.

Presidential Presence in White Gold

This 1978 Day-Date features a solid 18K white gold case measuring 36mm, retaining its original razor-sharp lines and factory brushing—testament to its barely-worn, likely unpolished condition. The fluted bezel, also in white gold, remains in immaculate 10/10 shape, with crisp definition and perfect light play that underscores the monochrome brilliance of the piece.

Completing the silhouette is a handmade Belgian leather strap fitted with a steel Rolex-signed aftermarket buckle—adding vintage personality while maintaining cohesive luxury.

A Silver Sunburst Dial in Pristine Condition

The original silver sunburst dial is clean, with its subtle tone and texture offering an elegant contrast against the white gold case. The baton hour markers and stick hands preserve the minimalist sophistication that has come to define the Day-Date aesthetic. There is no relume or tampering—the dial is fully original, and its condition reflects decades of careful preservation.

The day and date displays, hallmarks of this model, remain crisply aligned and functional, powered by the in-house Rolex Calibre 3055 with single quickset functionality—a transitional and historically significant movement in the Day-Date lineage.

Rolex Calibre 3055 – Transitional Engineering

Beating inside is the Rolex Calibre 3055 automatic movement, introduced in the late 1970s as a modernized successor to the 1556. It brought with it a single quickset mechanism, allowing for rapid adjustment of the date—a subtle but significant improvement in everyday usability. This movement remains reliable, precise, and is a critical milestone in Rolex’s perpetual development of the Day-Date series.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fantastic writing and non-stop action
Format: Kindle
This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4. Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down. There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

Fun read
Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books. The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.
