With his unique perspective and extensive experience in business, Setkic gives the reader a glimpse into the intricacies of Yugoslavia’s politics, military excursions, and people, and he shares his wisdom on how to fight through life’s hardships and inevitable trials.
About the Author
Sefik Setkic was born at the end of the Second World War in Doboj, Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the time of his parents in exile. After the end of the war, when they returned to the village of Rohci near Visegrad, his parents entered him in the registry book of births with the place of birth in the village of Rohci and the date of birth on January 4, 1945. He completed the Forestry Technical school, the Faculty of Law and the MBA degree at the University of Sarajevo.
Sefik Setkic started his working career as a manual worker. He spent most of his working career as an executive director in Visegrad, and Sarajevo, Yugoslavia and in Atlanta USA. He is the winner of many awards, including the City of Sarajevo Award for Productivity, Economics of Business and Increase in Export in 1984, and the City of Sarajevo Memorial Plaque for his contribution to the overall development of the City of Sarajevo in 1985.
