Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a remastered 2 CD anthology comprising all the recordings made for the Dawn label by the ground-breaking Progressive Jazz ensemble, THE TRIO. Coming together in 1969, The Trio featured JOHN SURMAN (baritone & soprano saxes, bass clarinet), BARRE PHILLIPS (bass) and STU MARTIN (drums). All three musicians had earned fine reputations for excellence in the Jazz world and had a desire to push musical boundaries in their work and had a desire to appeal to the emerging "progressive" music scene. Performing on bills with rock acts such as Captain Beefheart and Yes, The Trio signed to Pye Records' newly formed progressive imprint, Dawn Records in 1970. Their self-titled double album was produced by Peter Eden and released in July of that year. Aimed squarely at a progressive audience, The Trio was critically acclaimed. The 1971 album Conflagration saw the three musicians joined by a host of celebrated musicians for the sessions at Pye Studios in Marble Arch, London. Notable guests included Chick Corea, Dave Holland, John Marshall and Mark Charig among others. This new 2 CD anthology has been re-mastered from the original Dawn Records' tapes and includes a booklet with an essay by Sid Smith featuring exclusive interviews with JOHN SURMAN, BARRE PHILLIPS and producer PETER EDEN.

Perfect Fit for 2008 Prius
I bought this for my 2008 Prius to help with allergens since I drive with my dog often. I wanted something that fit right and actually improved the air inside the car. Installation took under 5 minutes with no tools, and it dropped in without any issues. The build quality feels solid, not flimsy. After installing it, the air smells cleaner and seems to reduce dust and allergens during drives. It hasnβt restricted airflow and is holding up well with daily use so far.

Fit my 2008 Prius exactly with no adjustments
I noticed cleaner air and fewer allergy issues while driving
Took me less than 5 minutes to install with no tools
Cons:
A bit more expensive than basic filters I usually get

Good Enough
This doesn't fit precisely into place. You can see in the photo that the pleats just end with no frame on the sides to seal to the body of the housing. You can wiggle the end pleat into place but there's nothing holding it there so I don't know how long it will stay there. Not a big deal for me, but if you live on a dirt road, there could be enough air bypassing the filter that you may get a dusty car sooner. Price was fine, but I won't buy this filter again.
