This product also contains key ingredients that promote vitality and integrity of hoof tissues through optimization of the physiological conditions under which hoof cells grow, divide and mature.
Active Ingredients:
Resveratrol - a natural stilbene antioxidant that optimizes metabolic function to provide adequate energy for exercise and normal physiological processes while minimizing excess energy storage in fat tissue. Resveratrol has been demonstrated to increase the cellular density and metabolic efficiency of mitochondria (mitochondrial biogenesis), the cellular machinery where glucose metabolism occurs throughout the body. Resveratrol also supports healthy inflammatory response and appropriate insulin levels in the tissues of the horse's body, including the hoof.
Hesperidin and Diosmin - natural flavonoid antioxidants that support healthy body weight through optimization of fat metabolism, promoting the breakdown of stored fat (lipolysis) and suppressing the accumulation of excess fat (liopgenesis).
Amino Acids - Arginine, Glycine, Serine and Methionine are the structural building blocks of key enzymes that control carbohydrate and fat metabolism. These amino acids are supplied in optimal amounts to support the body's production of the following enzymes that regulate healthy metabolism, body weight and insulin levels:
Sucrase - hydrolyzes sucrose into glucose and fructose. Sucrose is the most abundant sugar in the pasture grasses and hay that horses consume.
Hexokinase, Phosphofructokinase and Pyruvate Kinase - all are involved in glucose metabolism, the reactions in which glucose is metabolized to provide the body with energy at the cellular level.
Lipases - promote the breakdown of fat and triglycerides into monoglycerides, glycerol and free fatty acids.
Insulin Degrading Enzyme - promotes the breakdown of excess insulin to support appropriate insulin levels, insulin sensitivity and optimum glucose metabolism.
